Rizla Kingsize Slim Papers Super thin (Silver) with 32 sheets
About Rizla:
In 1660, the Lacroix family began producing cigarette paper in earnest. Despite their early success, it was not until 76 years later that the family acquired their own paper mill, financed by Francois Lacroix, who had also founded the Lacroix Rolling Paper company in 1736.
The Lacroix company received a large production order in 1796. During the French Revolution, Napoleon commissioned the company to produce cigarette paper for the soldiers, who had previously been forced to use book pages to roll their cigarettes.
In 1860, Pierre Lacroix improved the manufacturing process for Lacroix cigarette paper. In 1865, the process was changed again and rice was used instead of tissue, giving the paper the name "RizLa+"; a combination of the French word for rice "Riz", "La" and the cross (French "croix") representing the family. The company was renamed in 1866.
RizLa+ was so successful that by 1891 the Lacroix family had accumulated enough wealth to have a castle-like building built for themselves, called the "Château Léonide Lacroix". The Lacroix family sold their product throughout Europe and the United States (as of 1900).
Rizla also invented and produced the first pocket lathe in 1928. The Lacroix brothers obtain a patent for attaching an eraser to the edge of the rolling paper. It is the moment when the brand revolutionises the world of rolling paper.
