Which strainer is suitable for my bong?
The bong screen is the last resort between your herbs and the chillum. Therefore, it should be chosen correctly. The choice of bong screen basically depends on the type of bong head you have. If you are looking for a screen for a rather flat bong head, a simple insert screen will suffice.
However, if it is a particularly deep bong head, you should opt for a hanging strainer. This is inserted into the pan to determine where it needs to be bent to sit comfortably in the head. In some cases, the choice of strainer does not matter and comes down to personal preference.
Of course, you can also make your own bong screen by cutting out a small piece of aluminium foil and piercing it with a toothpick or needle. However, we do not recommend this method, as some aluminium foils are coated and can release harmful chemicals when heated.
