Giza - History & Facts
Gizeh Raucherbedarf GmbH was founded in 1920. The company has its headquarters in Gummersbach, Germany. Since 1997, the company has been part of the Dutch parent company Mignot & De Block B.V. Altogether, the following companies belong to the group of companies: Mignot & De Block B.V. from Eindhoven, Gizeh Raucherbedarf GmbH with locations in Gummersbach (head office) and Bergneustadt (central warehouse), the production facility Brinkmann Raucherbedarf GmbH in Bremen and two further production facilities in France and Austria. Today, the group of companies is one of the three largest and leading manufacturers in the smokers' requisites segment.
Gizeh - Products & Assortment
Gizeh's wide range of products includes rolling papers, twist-in filters, filter sleeves, tampers and lathes, and many other accessories for those who enjoy home-made pleasure. Gizeh brand papers are available in paper thicknesses from 12 to 23.5 grams of paper weight per square metre. They are made of materials such as cellulose, a flax/hemp blend or hemp. Gum arabic or starch-based dextrin serve as a natural gum. Gizeh Papers have the following burning characteristics: slow, medium, regular burning. Some paper variants have cut corners on one long side. This makes it easier to turn.
Gizeh filter sleeves come in two varieties: standard filter sleeves and extra filter sleeves. These two filter sleeves differ in the length of the sleeve, the diameter or the length of the filter. The length of the standard filter sleeve is 15 millimetres, while the length of the extra filter sleeve is 25 millimetres. In addition, there are filter sleeves with Air-Plus technology and with activated carbon.
But Gizeh does not stop with leaflets and filter sleeves, because the company also offers suitable accessories for all connoisseurs of the art of twisting and tamping. The largest share of these are twist-in filters in various diameters made of different materials, tamping devices and winders.
Despite the concentrated product range, Gizeh is always on the lookout for new products that can satisfy the needs of customers even better and tries to implement any suggestions and criticism from the market.
