The American brand Juicy Jay's sells flavoured leaf and cigars, herbs and seeds and other smoking accessories such as pipes and storage boxes. Historical background to the naming of Juicy Jay's
The story begins in the late 1980s in New York City. The founder's friends and he himself were big fans. LL Cool J fans. In one of his songs, LL Cool J mentioned that he often hangs out on Farmers Boulevard in Queens. So the group went there and asked pedestrians if they knew where LL Cool J usually hung out. They spent the whole day there looking for him. Unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful. But one funny thing came out of the search. Afterwards, the founder's friends had a new nickname for him: Cool Jay.
A decade later, when the founder of Juicy Jay's needed to come up with a brand name for his new menthol rolling papers, he named them after his old nickname Cool Jay's. With more flavours, the brand name Juicy Jay's developed into what we know today.
