Activated carbon filter

Activated carbon filters have turned out to be true all-rounders in recent years. Whether in the grow tent as an odour neutraliser, in a cigarette filter or in the activated carbon adapter of your bong. Due to the special surface, considerably more pollutants adhere to the activated carbon than is the case with normal cigarette, cardboard or paper filters. This means that the smoke is less harmful to your lungs and your teeth are not affected as much by it. Furthermore, the activated carbon filter cools the smoke and makes it milder for your lungs. In addition, the activated carbon filter makes your herbs and tobacco taste better, as it filters out any taste-distorting substances.

Origin & Sizes

Originally, the activated carbon filters come from the well-known tobacco pipes. There, they are used as insert filters between the mouthpiece and the bowl. But over time, activated charcoal filters have also been discovered for self-rolling and since then they have enjoyed great popularity. Since they come from the pipes, they naturally have larger dimensions than other roll-in filters. So the cigarettes and other roll-in filters turn out a bit bigger than usual. But here, too, a second solution/possibility has been developed for all those who like to roll the normal size: Slim activated carbon filters. So all sizes are open to you!

Filtration & Use

Activated carbon has a larger surface area than other filter materials, which is why more pollutants such as condensates and tar are filtered out. In addition, the activated carbon ensures that only active ingredients and aroma are allowed to pass through. As a result, you experience more flavour and purity when smoking. In addition, the activated carbon cools the smoke, making it milder for your lungs.

The large original activated carbon filters can even be used several times. How often, of course, depends on your smoking and shooting habit. Of course, the filter loses its effect with each additional use. On average, however, it can be used up to four to six times before it is finally burnt out or clogged.

How do you set the filter correctly?

It doesn't matter which smoke variant you choose, the correct placement counts for all: the ceramic side always belongs facing the embers and the cardboard, paper or plastic end always serves as the mouthpiece. Otherwise, your activated carbon filter could start to burn or smoke - a not so nice and efficient idea.
