EHLE sieve head 'Sleeping Beauty' | 18,8 mm

My father was a glassblower, like generations of Ehles before him. In 1949 he moved from Thuringia to Limburg, with a pocket full of money but full of drive and ideas, and founded the "Günther Ehle Glass Instrument Factory". I caught the glass virus at a young age in my parents' business, and this passion has remained to this day. I learned the craft of glass apparatus construction and have had my master craftsman's certificate since 1993.

Unfortunately, my father died much too early. In 1988, I took over the management of the company and shortly afterwards launched my first series of glass water pipes. After that, everything happened very quickly. Today, our work is recognized worldwide. They have long been popular collector's items, whether because of their quality or their beauty and excellent smoking behavior.

For many years we worked as a pair. During all that time, however, we developed a very friendly relationship with the company "Burdich Laborbedarf GmbH", with whom we were also next door and who always helped each other out. So what was more natural than getting married? This merger at the beginning of 2015 brought us all a breath of fresh air and, above all, a lot of room for new ideas.

Today I work in a creative team of experienced glassblowers and committed young talent. A strong sales team ensures that everything runs smoothly and is always available to listen to all your concerns. We all have a lot of fun implementing your wishes - as I hope you do with your new EHLE.
