In 1959, the company Flamagas S.A. was founded in Barcelona. This was followed by the development of the Clipper Classic in 1971. In 1972, the production of the first refillable plastic lighters followed. At that time, this was a real innovation and the company was considered a pioneer. A good 40 years later, the Clipper lighter is still one of the most popular lighters on the market and has achieved true cult status.

Functions
Plugging aids: The ignition pin not only provides the flame, but is also removable. This makes it ideal for tamping hand-rolled smokes. In addition, the lower round end of the Clipper lighter can be used to plug pipe bowls. This makes the lighter very popular with pipe smokers.
Tilt flame: Usually you burn your fingers when you tilt a lighter downwards to light your bong or pipe. The reason for this is that with normal lighters the flame becomes smaller and retreats inwards. However, this inclination is necessary for these two smoking methods. Clipper has found a solution to this problem: the tilt flame. If you tilt the Clipper lighter downwards, the gas flow increases and the flame not only becomes larger, but the flame also starts higher up. Accordingly, bong and pipe smokers no longer have to fear for their fingers.
Bottle cap: The lower round end of the Clipper lighter was already mentioned in the first paragraph. But it has a second function. The end is perfectly suited to serve as a closure for open bottles. Simply insert the end into the neck of the bottle and voilà - the ideal protection against insects in your drink.
